Season Simulator
The Season Simulator tool allows you to forecast league standings based on match results—either using Footylabs' algorithm or your own predictions. It gives you full control over how teams perform throughout the season and lets you see how different results could impact the standings.
Plan, Simulate, and Share
At its core, the tool consists of three main components:
- The Fixture Schedule – A breakdown of matches organized by gameweeks, each with a predicted score generated by the Footylabs algorithm.
- The Gameweek Range Selector – A flexible control that lets you focus on a specific stretch of the season to see how teams are expected to perform within that period.
- The Standings Table – A dynamic table reflecting real results from past matches and predicted results for future ones.
Analyze Gameweek Ranges
Using the Gameweek Range Selector, you can narrow down specific portions of the season. This allows you to see:
- How many points a team has accumulated in a given period.
- Where a team might finish based on performance in selected gameweeks.
This feature is perfect for evaluating team form, spotting trends, and planning ahead for Fantasy Premier League strategies.
Customize Predictions
Not convinced by our forecast? You can take control and input your own score for any match. Simply enter the score you think will happen, and the standings table will automatically update based on your changes.

Share Simulation
Simulations don't have to stay private—you can share them with friends and compare different scenarios. When you share a simulation, others can view it but not modify it. Footylabs organizes simulations into three categories:
- Default Footylabs Forecast (BLUE) – The baseline predictions generated by the Footylabs algorithm. If you don't make any changes, these predictions determine the standings. They serve as a reference, cannot be modified, and can be compared with your own or shared predictions.
- Your Simulation (YELLOW) – These are your personal predictions, which you can use to simulate the rest of the season. Modify predictions for future matches to see how they affect the standings. You can adjust, reset, and refine your predictions anytime. Each user has one editable set of predictions.
- Shared Simulations (ORANGE) – These are predictions shared by others. You can view them for comparison but cannot modify them. This allows you to explore different perspectives without altering your own predictions.
By sharing predictions, you can collaborate, debate, and analyze potential outcomes with friends—all while keeping your own predictions intact.
Why Use Season Simulator?
This tool helps you visualize potential outcomes, test different scenarios, and get a clearer picture of how teams might perform. Whether you're an FPL manager looking to optimize transfers, a football analyst tracking team form, or just a fan curious about future standings—Season Simulator puts the power in your hands.
Schedule Difficulty
The Schedule Difficulty tool helps Fantasy Premier League managers analyze team fixtures based on difficulty rankings. Whether you're planning for a specific range of gameweeks or the entire season, this tool provides a clear view of which teams have the easiest or toughest matchups ahead.
Each club's fixtures are ranked on a 0-10 difficulty scale, representing how challenging a match is expected to be based on predicted results. A rating of 0indicates the easiest matchup, where a team is expected to win comfortably by 5 or more goals, while 10 represents the toughest challenge, predicting a 5+ goal defeat. A 5signifies a balanced fixture where a draw is the expected outcome.
Values between these extremes reflect the expected goal difference—lower numbers indicate a likely win (e.g., 3 means a team is expected to win by 2 goals), while higher numbers suggest a probable loss (e.g., 7 means a team is expected to lose by 2 goals). These difficulty ratings are derived from Season Simulator, helping FPL managers evaluate fixture strength and plan transfers accordingly.
Detailed Fixture Breakdown

For each fixture, users will see additional context beyond difficulty ranking:
- Gameweek (GW) – The scheduled gameweek for the match.
- Venue – Indicates whether the team is playingHome (H) or Away (A).
- Opponent's Pre-Match Position – The opponent's place in the standings before the fixture.
- Opponent's Movement in Standings – Along wit the opponent's position displays an arrow indicator showing whether they have moved up, dropped, or remained in place before the match.
- Current form – A snapshot of the opponent's last five results, helping assess their recent performance and momentum.
Expected & Actual Player Points
Beyond team difficulty, the Schedule Difficulty tool also provides expected points for each player in every gameweek. Managers can adjust the gameweek range to identify top-performing players over a specific period.
For past matches, users can compare actual points earned with their expected points, offering insights into performance trends and consistency.
By combining fixture difficulty with player projections, this tool helps FPL managers make informed decisions about team selection, transfers, and captain choices.
Fantasy Scout
The Fantasy Scout tool helps Fantasy Premier League managers identify top-performing players based on stats, projections, and key performance indicators.
With advanced filters, you can refine your search by position, club, price, and other parameters, ensuring you select the best players to fit your squad and budget. You can also filter by gameweek range, allowing you to plan for both short-term fixtures and long-term strategy.
To make selection even easier, Footylabs highlights standout players with special badges, such as:
